We offer several other vision correction surgeries that can eliminate the need for glasses and contacts. If you aren't a candidate for LASIK, then there are several other surgeries we can perform to correct your vision. ICL, PRK, and clear lens exchange are a few of the most common vision surgeries we regularly perform. You can click on each surgery to learn more about them.
When you visit our office for your initial appointment, your doctor will let you know which surgery they recommend along with the cost of each. Our counselors will then help you choose which surgery is right for you and walk you through your payment and financing options.
LASIK eye surgery is not only life-changing—it’s simple, fast and comfortable. In fact, the procedure itself only takes a few minutes to complete.
On the day of your surgery, you just need a friend or family member to accompany you to our eye center, as you won’t be able to drive home on your own. We will set up your surgery day a few weeks in advance so you can plan ahead. Your doctor will walk you through your surgery and let you know what to expect, what time to be there, and how long your LASIK recovery will be.
While you will experience immediate results after your LASIK procedure is over, your vision will gradually improve over the next few days and weeks.
We perform highly tailored LASIK surgery at our Las Vegas LASIK surgery center. When you come in for your initial free consultation, we will ask you quite a few questions about your lifestyle and hobbies, your vision goals, and your medical history. Based on your answers to these questions, we will tailor the surgery to your needs.
For example, if your eyes are exceptionally dry then we can work on treating that at the same time. Or if you work on a computer then we will make sure your vision is optimized for that. Every eye is different, and we all have individual lifestyles and needs. Because of that, we believe that Lasik shouldn't be one-size-fits-all. It should fit you!
LASIK is extremely accurate, but sometimes as your eyes adjust after surgery they need a touch-up surgery to help perfect your vision. We offer touch-ups free for a year after surgery so you can have the best vision possible. Dry eye is a common side effect during recovery, and we include the cost of dry eye treatment in the price of our surgery.
After one year if you feel like your vision could still be better, then we will give you a discounted price on additional surgeries.
LASIK is a good option for many people, but there are other options. We offer LASIK, ICL, PRK, and clear lens exchange to surgically correct vision. If you are not a candidate for LASIK, then you still might be able to get clear vision without glasses or contacts! ICL, PRK, and clear lens exchange are other laser vision correction surgeries that give you the same result as LASIK. Often when you are not a LASIK candidate, you are still able to get a different vision correction surgery.
There are many factors that determine if LASIK is the best option for your eyes. Age and existing eye conditions are two of the main deciding factors, and it really takes a free consultation to determine if LASIK is best for you. Send us a message and we can help you decide if LASIK or another vision surgery is right for you.
Most patients experience dry eye for a couple months after surgery. Occasionally, dry eye can last up to six months. Selecting the right procedure for each patient makes all the difference, and can seriously reduce the risk of long term problems. We include dry eye treatment in the price of the LASIK surgery.
Glare, Halos, and Ghosting
Occasionally patients see halos or glares after their surgery. We have excellent outcomes that decrease this risk significantly more than budget LASIK centers. That is just one reason why we always recommend going to a high-quality LASIK doctor rather than a budget doctor.
Most people have stable vision after LASIK. Studies now show that LASIK leads to stable vision for 11+ years after surgery. It is important to note that some people still may regress. We estimate that over 95% of patients will have stable vision, though. Higher amounts of astigmatism may increase your chance of needing a touch-up after the initial surgery. We offer free touch-ups for a year after your surgery, and a discounted price after a year.
Need for Glasses or Contacts
The goal of LASIK is usually to eliminate the need for glasses or contact lenses. The vast majority of patients achieve exactly that. Occasionally someone will still need glasses or contacts after their surgery, though in most cases touch-ups will refine the vision. Patients over the age of 40 may still need glasses to see things up close, though.
Decrease in Vision
It is rare for LASIK patients to have a decrease in vision that not even glasses will fix. Using the finest and safest laser possible has been shown in studies to reduce this risk. We recommend that if you decide to get LASIK that you choose the safest option rather than the cheapest option. The risk is there, although, we haven't seen this complication in our patients to date.
Not all LASIK is the same! Over time the tools and techniques we use improve and the surgery outcomes get better. Many LASIK centers that offer huge deals or discounts either perform a lower quality surgery or have hidden costs. Studies have shown that lower quality LASIK procedures can lead to permanent glare, higher complication rates, and lower quality vision. At Brimhall Eye, we only use the finest laser that produces the finest results, as confirmed by the world-renowned Moran Eye Center and other studies.
On our LASIK pricing page, we list out what you can expect from discount clinics and what you get with Brimhall Eye.
You only have one set of eyes, so taking care of them should be a priority. We are proud to use such high-quality equipment and procedures, and we would love for you to come in for a free consultation so we can show you just how easy seeing can be.
LASIK surgery at Brimhall Eye costs $2,450 per eye or $4,900 for both eyes. You can visit our LASIK pricing page to see what is included in your surgery, and why our LASIK surgery might cost more than other clinics.
We offer several financing options so every patient who qualifies for LASIK can get the surgery they want and need. If you have a question about paying for your surgery then please call or message us.
The Wells Fargo Health Advantage® program is a financing option that gives you 6, 12, 18, or 24 months of interest-free financing, contingent on credit approval. Visit our financing page to learn more about the program and to apply.
We also accept many types of health insurance that may cover LASIK surgery. If are not sure if your insurance covers LASIK, then contact your insurance company.
